A couple of months ago, my younger sister proposed a “girls’ trip” for us sisters and our mom. I jumped at the chance—I’ve been dreaming of a getaway like this, but with all of us juggling kids and busy schedules, we hadn’t managed to make it happen. We decided on a relaxing weekend at Miraval in Austin, and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been better!

With my recent health challenges, this break felt essential. While I had to skip my usual bootcamp classes and hikes, I embraced the slower pace, diving into chakra release sessions, energy clearing, and even a session with an intuitive healer. We indulged in amazing food, spent time at the spa, shared endless laughs, and got fiercely competitive over Chinese checkers. Here’s to hitting pause, recharging, and just enjoying the moment with the women I love.

This new modern Italian restaurant serving wood-fired pizza to die for is the second delicious eatery from the owners of Twisted Fern. Loma features dishes made with “whole foods” and local ingredients, with flavors that are light and refreshing. Loma is the kind of place you can come to before or after a bike ride. Loma offers nourishing food options that fill your body, make you feel good, and gives you the energy that you need to go about your activities.
Be sure to try my favorite: The Italian Meats Pizza, made with Calabrese sausage, chorizo el rey and house mozzarella.

900 Main St. Park City

November is the perfect time to step indoors in Park City. As shoulder season comes to an end, weather, and trails can be unpredictable, making outdoor adventures and time on the trails a little tricky (and muddy). Now is the time to take in art exhibits, on-stage performances and of course, movies on the big screen.
Park City Film is a local nonprofit art house that screens indie films that are destined to make it to the Sundance Film Festival and independent films that made a splash on Hollywood’s silver screen.
For a fall dose of independent film, check out the exquisitely curated programs from the Park City Film (PCF). Almost every week of the year, PCF screens films ranging from artful child-inspired sagas to thought-provoking documentaries and features.

They also have some pretty amazing popcorn toppings—everything from Parmesan cheese to chili sauce. Check out the films.

Giving back to those in need is a fundamental way to strengthen our communities. The holiday season is an excellent time to extend our resources and look for more ways to give to others and engage with our communities. Giving back can transform the lives of others but our own. For this holiday season, I want to share ways to get involved and participate in this wonderful season of giving and donating. Please see the list below to see a few ways you can help your community this holiday season.

Environmental Focus:

The community was developed with sustainability in mind, protecting much of the surrounding natural environment. The emphasis on green spaces and minimal environmental impact appeals to those who prioritize eco-friendly living.

Homeowner Associations
When searching for a new home, buyers should consider the impact of a homeowners association (HOA), as it can shape the living experience. To ensure a smooth experience, buyers should review HOA documents, including rules, fees, and financials, to understand the community’s structure. Checking the HOA’s reserve funds is essential, as this “emergency fund” covers unexpected repairs. Investigating any legal issues, confirming maintenance practices, and attending a board meeting can offer insights into the HOA’s management style and community dynamics. Taking these steps can help buyers select an HOA that aligns with their lifestyle.
